Explanation:

In these lines, we learn that Caesar does not want to go to the Senate House. He says that he is able to, and he is not afraid to go, but he simply will not. Calpurnia tries to help by offering an excuse. She says that Caesar is sick. However, Caesar is clear in that he does not want to lie. He reminds her of the fact that he has conquered an enormous territory, which makes him a very important man. He thinks it would be ridiculous if such an accomplished man was afraid to tell the truth.
