Answer:

In this short text we realize that the author is not comfortable with the situation in which he is inserted.

Explanation:

The paragraph above shows that the author was accompanying his uncle and a person named Mitch. The author is very uncomfortable with the situation in which he is inserted. He is cold, hungry, wet and wanting to get out of that place, but he was too far from the truck that could give the author more comfort. He will have to spend the night there, even against his will.

Content to reference on As i grow older by Langston Hughes-But it was there then,in front of me,Brigh like a sun what is "it" be
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

Dream

Explanation:

The "it" in the line above, is referring to the dream the writer had. Although it had been quite a long time since he had the dream, and he had even nearly forgotten, but still, the dream was right in front of him, shinning bright like a sun. A wall then rose up between the writer, and his dream.

The speaker is recalling a dream he had a long time ago, one that he had nearly forgotten, but at that might, he could see it ahead of him once more.
