Dialogue:

Me: What is this enlightenment idea you oh, so talk about?

John Locke: Well, simply put, I believe the five core beliefs are happiness, reason, nature, progress, and liberty. Wouldn't you agree?

Me: Well perhaps I do, how would your idea benefit us people?

Locke: People would have rights to have their own believes and not be coerced by others to believe anything or silence you for your opinions. As well as respecting one another, specially when it comes down to someone making a choice you don't agree with, not everyone has the same thoughts.

Me: Well you certainly have a point, though, wouldn't religious freedom just enable devaluing other religions and or culture's? Why can we just not believe in one religion, the true religion?

Locke: This is why the enlightenment works, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, though not everyone might agree with it, you are free to believe what you want, as long as it is kept to you and you only.

Me: Do you have any other example's?

Locke: Perhaps, blind acceptance is another idea of mine, by replacing authority with an expectation that you have your own mind, you think for yourself don't you?

Me: I sure do, but would that not just influence materialism, or physicalism? Even though there is an abundance of evidence that consciousness is a real thing?

Locke: Yes, perhaps, if the thought was always there, it never influenced it in the first place.

Me: I like your idea, very thoughtful of the people.

Locke: Thank you, I respect your opinion, as one should.

If this was of any use, please mark as brainliest. It took me a while to write, and did plenty of research to help out most I could.

sveta [45]

Answer:

On March 3, 1931, President Herbert Hoover signed a law that made "The ... of food and supplies to citizens of Belgium after that country was overrun by Germany. ... Many people were forced to wait in bread lines for food and to live in squalid shantytowns known derisively as Hoovervilles.

Explanation:

Hoover's response to the crisis was constrained by his conservative political philosophy. He believed in a limited role for government and worried that excessive federal intervention posed a threat to capitalism and individualism. He felt that assistance should be handled on a local, voluntary basis.

The 1755 earthquake in Lisbon was a prominent event in Voltaire’s Candide.
lawyer [7]
Voltaire thought the earthquake had a very different lesson, namely that nature can be capricious and does not respect human life. If there were to be a happier, more prosperous, and more just world, it would have to be one created by human activity.

The earthquake in Candide is based on a real earthquake that leveled the city of Lisbon in 1755. Before writing Candide, Voltaire wrote a long poem about that event, which he interpreted as a sign of God's indifference or even cruelty toward humanity.

So I am gonna say the answer is true
