As a little boy King lived in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was a minister of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. King’s friend was a white boy and they played all the time until school season rolled around and they were forced to go to segregated schools. After the first day of school they were not allowed to play together.

There were many positive effects that came out of the war.  New opportunities were in store for the American women. Opportunities emerged giving women the privilege to show what they were capable of. In addition, the economy rose drastically. There was a growth in economy due to the mass production of war material. The president ended segregation giving many different races great new benefits. Also, the United States became a world power. The atomic bomb changed the way the United States was looked at by other nations.</span>
