MRS. PETERS (looking upstairs). We mustn’t—take on. MRS. HALE. I might have known she needed help! I know how things can be—for

women. I tell you, it’s queer, Mrs. Peters. We live close together and we live far apart. We all go through the same things—it’s all just a different kind of the same thing. Which theme is best reinforced by the excerpt? Women could not generally count upon one another for support, advice, or company. Women were overwhelmed by the roles they had to play and usually needed extra help. Women generally felt detached from each other because of the societal roles thrust upon them. Women were too busy caring for the men in their lives to spend time with other women.

The best answer would be C.

This is because "We live close together and we live far apart. We all go through the same things—it’s all just a different kind of the same thing." Is explaining how women generally felt detached from one another due to the societal roles that pushed them down. and also i looked it up

The theme which is best reinforced by the given excerpt is that women generally felt detached from each other because of the societal roles thrust upon them. This can be seen especially from the sentence in the passage which states that, ' we live close together and we live far apart'. 'Live apart' in this sentence implies that there is no real close relationship among the women even though they are neighbors[ live together].

Answer:

It was the first institution of higher learning to be funded and overseen by a state government, and allowed more than the wealthy to attend.

Explanation:

The University of Georgia was founded on January 27, 1785, in Athens, Georgia. It is the first state-chartered university of the US, because of which it is often referred to as the birthplace of the American system of public higher education. It was incorporated by Georgia General Assembly, Georgia's state legislature, which gave the University of Georgia's Senatus Academicus (Latin for Academic senate - the governing body of some universities and colleges) needed resources to found an institution for learning. It was considered that there is no free government without educated citizenry and that the government must provide education to all of its citizens, regardless of their financial status. All had the right to education, the wealthy and the poor alike.
