BC = x

AB = BC - 6

AC = BC + (BC - 6) - 13 = 2BC - 19

AB + AC + BC = 78

substitute:

(BC - 6) + (2BC - 19) + BC = 78

4BC - 25 = 78 |+25

4BC = 103 |:4

BC = 25.75

Answer: 25.75 mm

Please help me answer this
Ronch [10]

Answer:

10.77

Step-by-step explanation:

by using Pythagoras theorem we can find the distance between the points,

so...

distance between the points, which is the hypotenuse will be xy

difference between the y coordinates will be dy

difference between the x coordinates will be dx

according to pythagoras theorem,

xy^{2} = dx^{2} +  dy^{2} \\xy^{2} = (-6-(-2))^{2} + (-5-5)^{2}\\xy^{2} =(-4)^{2} +(-10)^{2} \\xy^{2} =16+100\\xy^{2} =116\\xy =\sqrt{116} \\xy=10.77

Stephen and Diana are traveling towards each other from points that are 276 miles apart. If Diana is traveling 4 mph faster than
Allisa [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let speed of Stephen=x mph

speed of Diana=x+4

then

6x+6(x+4)=276

divide by 6

x+x+4=276/6=46

2x=46-4=42

x=42/2=21

Stephen is traveling at  21 mph.

Diana is traveling at 21+4=25 mph.
