How did the framers primarily seek to protect the judiciary from shift in public opinion?

History
1 answer:
adell [148]3 years ago

The framers rejected a direct election to the judiciary, even though state judged and some local judges are elected, the majority are not. This removes politics from the branch and also guarantees that the ones who are judges are because of their knowledge.

They removed the house of representatives from selecting or confirming federal judges. The Senate is the house that has to confirm it.

They also did not put terms on judicial works and prohibit the decrease in salary. This two are very important measures because it guarantees the independence of the branch. Such as when they decide against the government or such.

What major effect did the Fifteenth Amendment have on American society?
Ostrovityanka [42]
The correct answer is B ) It provided greater access to voting for African Americans.

The 15th amendment made it illegal to stop an American citizen from voting based on their "race, color, or previous condition of servitude." Essentially, this amendment made it so that all African-American males of voting age (which at this time was 21) could vote in elections. This was one of the biggest achievements of the US Congress during the era of Reconstruction.
