why do we need speeding laws? - if everyone drove at the speed they like, then some people would be going down the road 35 mph, some at 100 mph, some at 15 mph, and that would create traffic, chaos, and accidents.

why do we have drinking and driving laws? - when we drink, our decision making is dulled, our senses are dulled, and we get sleepier / inhibitionless. also, our concentration gets shot after alcohol.

why do we have a work safe policy? - work safe policies are made to protect employees from danger, and to protect employers from lawsuits.

Why do we need speeding laws?
Speeding laws protect - not only the driver - from crashes, fatal injuries and even death, but it also protects animals, and humans alike that are on the road walking, biking or running alongside the vehicles, allowing for less injury.

Why do we have drinking and driving laws?
It is a terrible idea to drink and drive, this law also protects - not only the driver - from crashes, fatal injuries and even death but also - like above - animals and humans alike. Drunk drivers usually go rather 'off' when they're drinking and driving, making all situations very dangerous.

Why do we have a work safe policy?
This law enables people to the right to being safe and knowing about safety issues and acts that must be taken to avoid injury, fatal injuries and death in their workplace.

Identify the point of view in this paragraph: The dew on the grass made
Artemon [7]

I've looked this question up online. The options are simply:

a. First Person

b. Second Person

c. Third Person

Answer:

The point of view in this paragraph is:

a. First person.

Explanation:

The narrator of the excerpt is telling the story from a first-person point of view. The easiest way to confirm that is by taking a look at the pronouns used:

The dew on the grass made my running shoes damp. It didn't bother me. The sound of my feet hitting the street formed a rhythm, a steady pattern of light thumps. I timed my breathing with the rhythm.

First-person narrators use first-person pronouns such as "I" and "me". This type of narrator gives us his/her own perspective on things. That means we accompany this narrator throughout the story, see things from his perspective, and only get to know what he knows. One advantage of first-person point of view is that we get to dive deeper into the narrator's feelings and thoughts. One disadvantage is that he is a biased narrator, which makes him untrustworthy.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
ASHA 777 [7]
The kind of man Creon is respectful but not afraid to make mistakes. What this reveals about his character is that he knows all men make mistakes but he knows that we all learn from our mistakes. He is telling men/people to do what they want but will eventually learn what is right. He is also saying that wise men will likely pick the right choice first but make mistakes that they will learn from also.

The above question refers to "The Life You Save May Be Your Own"

Answer and Explanation:

The moments of grace can be seen in the story when Tom Shiftlet who had nothing, finds a place to stay, a family, a job and a wife who does not care about his financial condition, allowing him to have a peaceful and free life problems and can then live away from the rot of the world, which is something he wants.

However, the intensity of the evil circumstances can be seen when he decides to leave his mentally ill wife and leave without any explanation and leaving her totally unable to take care of herself. At that moment, Tom not only refuses his grace, but allows the evil one to control his actions by doing vile and inhuman things.
