How did john brown contribute to the violence before the civil war?
ipn [44]

by killing proslavery men and by leaving the raid on Hampton's ferry which led to other insurrections. Brown took slaves to Harper's Ferry where there was an arsenal of weapons that he gave to slaves to start a slave rebellion. He was also responsible for bloody atrocities in "Bloody Kansas," prior to that.
