Since one angle is 90° and other is 45° ...so by angle sum property the third angle is also 45° ..

There is a theorem which states equal angles in a triangle have their opposite sides equal...hence base is also 6 ...then by Pythagoras Theorem..... x=√72=6√2

Answer:

x==6sqrt(2)

Step-by-step explanation:

the remaining unknown angle = 180-90-45 = 45deg.

so the right-angled triangle is also isosceles

the remaining unknown side = 6

x=sqrt(6^2+6^2)

=6sqrt(2)

The surface area of the composite figure is; SA = 224 in.²

<h3>How to find the area of a Composite Figure?</h3>

From the composite figure attached, we can find the surface area of each of the rectangular/square external face seen as;

SA= 2(10 * 2) + 2(4 * 7) + 2(4 * 4) + 2(4 * 2) + (4 * 7) + (10 * 4) + (3 * 4)

SA = 40 + 56 + 32 + 16 + 28 + 40 + 12

SA = 224 in.²

Thus, we can conclude that the  surface area of the composite figure is;

SA = 224 in.²

How does the unit circle allow the trigonometric functions to be defined for all real numbers instead of just for acute angles?
Molodets [167]

Every point in the unit circle is identified either by its coordinates (x,y) or by the angle it forms with the x-axis, \alpha.

The trigonometric functions associate with every angle \alpha and the correspondant (x,y) coordinates the two values

\cos(\alpha)=x,\quad\sin(\alpha)=y

This procedure can be done for every angle \alpha, so you don't have to work with acute angles only.

a previous analysis of paper boxes showed that the standard deviation of the length is 9mm. What is the 98% confidence interval
il63 [147K]
We cannot calculate the confidence interval without the sample size.  However, for the second question, the sample size needed would be 49.

The formula we use is

n=(\frac{z_{\frac{\alpha}{2}}\times \sigma}{E})^2

To find the z-score:
Convert 98% to a decimal:  0.98
Subtract from 1:  1-0.98 = 0.02
Divide by 2:  0.02/2 = 0.01
Subtract from 1:  1-0.01 = 0.99

Using a z-table (http://www.z-table.com) we see that this value is closest to a z-score of 2.33.

Using the z-score, our standard deviation (9) and our margin of error (3), we have:
n=(\frac{2.33(9)}{3})^2=(6.99)^2=48.86\approx 49
