All you have to do is set the equation

We call Rick r and Jim j

r+j=49500

r= 3j-500 because rick is 500 when Jim is 3 times his amount.

So all you have to do left is solve it.

Subtitles

3j-500+j=49500

4j=50000
J= 12500 dollars

Subtitles

R= 3(12500)-500= 37000 dollars

In conclusion rick salary is 37000 and Jim is 12500

Hope this helps and if it does please give a brainliest answer :)

Pauline invested $10,000 at two different
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

So for this, I will be doing a system of equations. Let x = money invested at 4% and y = money invested at 6%. We know that x and y will total up to 10k since that's how much he initially invested, so that'll be one of our equations.

Our other equation will represent the total balance he has after investing. We know that x's interest is 4% (since the money is increasing, this would translate to 1.04 in decimal form) and y's interest is 6% (aka 1.06 in decimal form since its increasing) and that the total balance is 10470 (initial balance + interest income).

Step-by-step explanation:

Using all this info, these are our two equations:

X+Y=10000

1.04x+1.06=10470

Next, substitute x in the second equation for (10000 - y) and solve for y as such:

1.04(10000-y) +1.06y =10470

10400 - 1.04y + 1.60y = 10470

10400 + 0.02y = 10470

0.02y =70

y = 3500

Now that we have the value of y, substitute it into either equation to solve for x:

x + 3500 = 10000

x= 6500

1.04x + 1.06(3500)= 10470

1.04x = 6500

Answer

In short:

$6,500 was invested in the 4% rate

$3,500 was invested in the 6% rate

The answer is D because A and B mean the exact same thing and if A and B are graphed the result is C so the only logical answer left is D

Solve the triangle. Round lengths to the nearest tenth and angle measures to the nearest degree. B = 15° C = 113° b = 49
Alex Ar [27]
So,Given that you have A = 23 degrees , B = 21 degrees ,
and side a = 42.8, we find the angle C and the remaining sides of the triangle to be as follows:

Calculating for C = 180 degrees - ( A + B ).
C = 180 - 44 = 136

a / sin A = b / sin B = c / sin C

b = a sin B/ sin A = 42.8 sin 21 / sin 23 = 39.3
c = a sin C/ sin A = 42.8 sin 136/ sin 23 = 76.1

42.8/sin 23 = 109.5
39.3/sin 21 = 109.7
76.1/sin 136 = 109.6

The correct answer is ( c ). C = 136, b = 39.3 , and c = 76.1.
