Answer:

During the Hundred Years' war, monarchies fought over a throne and d) control of territory.

Explanation:

First of all, the war of one hundred years started with the disease of Charles IV of France. He didn't have direct male successors, so Edward III of England saw an opportunity because he was related to him by his mother. But the Frenchs didn't want a Foreigner ruler, a lot less an English one. So, Philip VI of France looked out for the French crown and kingdom. England won many battles at the beginning and they seized territories, but after years of war, the Frenchs stood up and regained their lands and their rights. It was devastating and many alliances took place in the war, connecting the countries with others. But in the end, France got his territory back and the Englishmen went back to their Island.

lesantik [10]

Answer:

I can't see the boxes I'm supposed to check, but I'll give an answer: slavery.

Explanation:

The Republicans were an anti-slavery party, meaning they wanted to stop the expansion of slave states or abolish it entirely. The Dixiecrats were terrified of abolition of slavery, and fought as hard as they could to prevent it. When Lincoln, a Republican, was elected without even winning the south, it caused them to react with succession to protect the institution of slavery.
