There are two main differences between the independence movement in Canada and those in Latin America.
The first difference is the fact that Canadian independence was achieved in different stages. Nowadays, Canada Day is celebrated on July 1st, which commemorates the passage of the British North America Act (1867). However, even though the passage gave more autonomy to Canada, it did not represent a complete separation from Great Britain. In fact, the British Parliament retained the right to amend Canada's constitution until 1982.
The second difference is the fact that independence in Canada was achieved in a peaceful manner, mainly through negotiations, over many years. In comparison, independence in Latin America was mostly achieved through a series of wars in the late 18th and early 19th century.
it was the main cause because the lower class were being forced into the military, which drove those who weren't in the army, to have a problem with it
This is called the Lee Statement and it was proposed by Richard Henry Lee in 1776. This means that the colonies that were under the British rule up until the American revolutionary war had the right to be independent and free from all conections to the British Empire and that they can be their own states.
