Once upon a time, there was a cell. It was moving around the primordial soup trying to make it in that harsh world. All of a sudden, it encountered a small prokaryotic cell. To be honest, the cell was feeling a little lonely and it was happy to come across somebody to share the habitat with. The two cells started spending a lot of time together, just quietly coexisting. The first cell started thinking how it would be so much easier to survive if the other, small cell were to live with me. I could provide safety and shelter, and the small cell can pay me back by providing me with the energy I need for my daily metabolic processes. The cell was hesitant for a second, but then bravely said ''Hey, what do you think about symbiosis?''. And the rest is (endosymbiotic)  history.

In the savannas in Africa, elephants and giraffes both use acacia trees for food. What impact would removing these large animals
aksik [14]

Answer:

You would probably lose most of the populations of Elephants and Giraffes, because they would have to move somewhere else to find a new source of food. Eventually the population would get back to however bug it is now. However that would only happen after many of them die off and leave from starvation.

vodka [1.7K]
Trees are not at fault for releasing greenhouse gas. Rather, they are the natural way of absorbing the gas in our atmosphere and are our primary natural ally.

Rank the biomes in terms of how much you expect plant growth to increase as a function of increased co2 in the atmosphere.
Lelechka [254]

The following are the expected ranks of biomes  based on increased oxygen for plant growth and they are

1. Desert,

2. Grassland

3.  Temperate Forest

4. Tropical Rain Forest

The desert biome is formed owing to very limited annual rainfall and it covers approximately 20% of the Earth.  The Grassland is predominantly dominated by grasses while the temperature in the temperate forest is around 10 degree celcius. The plants and trees in this biomes develop special adaptations for their survival. However, the rain forest is characterized with all year round rain hence the biome is moist. The biome is known for vegetations with dense canopies.
