As many as 50% of drivers have not been taught defensive driving skills.

Defensive driving skills are part of the driving training. Driving is a risky activity and it is highly important to acquire these skills in order to avoid a car accident and save lives. Therefore, defensive driving skills allows the driver to have control over his/her car and increase the chances to have a safe ride. Some defensive driving skills are inflate tires appropriately, use the car lights in a responsible way and always wear a seat belt. However, only 50% of drivers possess defensive driving skills. If everyone wore seat belts, the risk of injury in a crash would be reduced by a 50 percent. Therefore, a great number of car accidents fatalities could be prevented if all drivers acquired the necessary defensive driving skills.

According to the dictionary, squawks do not mean the same thing as squeaks. does this sentence need any revision?
Svetlanka [38]
It might be clearer to say: According to the dictionary, a squawk is not the same thing as a squeak. there's no need for them to be plural in your sentence and it's likely that, in the dictionary, they're listed as "squeak" and "squawk" singularly. when describing dictionary definitions it's best to use the form of the word that the dictionary uses for clarity.

Which sentence is a claim that is both arguable and defensible?
4vir4ik [10]

The correct answer is B.

The solution to the stray cat problem is aggressive spay and neuter policies. This claim is both arguable and defensible because you can defend the claim by using documented spay and neuter policies saying that they work but you can also argue the claim by using the documented spay and neuter policies saying that they don't work.
