Answer:

63314.48m^3

Step-by-step explanation:

V=whl=28*47*21=27636m^3\\27636*2=55272m^3(rectangular prism)

V=\pi r^2h=\pi *16^2*10\\=8042.48m^3(cylinder)

55272+8042.48\\=63314.48m^3(Whole shape)

Answer:

63,318.48 (cube units of some sort?)

Step-by-step explanation:

First, I would split the shape into shapes with formula's to solve them. Let's start with the rectangular boxes on the ends of this dumbbell thing :

Formula for a rectangular prism : V = LWH

V = 21 x 28 x 47 = V = 27,636 (We're gonna multiply this volume by 2 since it states the prisms are identical.) 27,636 x 2 = 55,272

Formula for the volume of a cylinder : V = πr^2h (I assume we are substituting 3.14 for π?)

V = 3.14 x 16^2 x 10 = 8,038.4

All that's left is to add them all together! 55,272 + 8,038.4 = 63,318.48

A school raised &4,589 in a sale. Mr Simmons class raised 1/100 of the money. How much did Mr Simmons class raise?
Ksenya-84 [330]

Alright, lets get started.

total amount school raised in sale = $ 4589

Mr Simmons class raised \frac{1}{100} of the money.

So, if we want to find amount of the money Mr. Simmons raised, we sould take one hundered of the total amount.

Hence money raised by Mr. Simmons class = \frac{1}{100} * 4589

Hence money raised by Mr. Simmons class = \frac{4589}{100}

Hence money raised by Mr. Simmons class = $ 45.89 : Answer

Hope it will help :)

A prism has a trapezoid as its base whose area is 140 square centimeters. A cylinder with the same height has a radius of 6 cent
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

difference in volume = 26.96h cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a prism is the product of the base area and the height. A trapezoid prism has a trapezium as the base shape. Therefore,

volume of a trapezoid prism = area of a trapezium × height

area of the base(trapezoid) = 140 cm²

Volume = 140h

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

where

r = radius

h = height

volume = πr²h

volume = π × 6² × h

volume = 3.14 × 36 × h

volume = 113.04h

To know how much larger the volume of the prism is than the volume of the cylinder we have to take the difference of the volume.

Recall the height are the same

difference in volume = 140h - 113.04h

difference in volume = 26.96h cm³

Tracey pays $18 to enter a theme park, plus $2 for each ride. Which of the following correctly describes the slope? A. she must
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

B.

Step-by-step explanation:

You pay a one time fee of 18 dollars and then 2 dollars per ride.

The expression for that is 18+2r where r represents the number of rides and the output of (18+2r) is amount you spend.

f(r)=2r+18 when compared to f(x)=mx+b where m is slope and b is y-intercept

you should see that the slope is $2 per ride.

B. is the option that says this.

Xavier said the product of a monomial and a binomial will always be a trinomial. Explain the error in his reasoning.
sergejj [24]

All that is needed is a single counter-example.

One counter-example is to multiply the monomial x^3 with the binomial x^7-10x^4

We then get...

x^3*(x^7-10x^4) = x^3*x^7 + x^3*(-10x^4)

x^3*(x^7-10x^4) = x^10 - x^7

The result we get is a binomial as there are still only two terms here. We would need three terms to have a trinomial.
