The most important issues raised during the ratification process were ______ because ______.
ira [324]
The most important issues raised during the ratification process were the Bill of Rights because most Americans and Non-Federalists were afraid that their rights and representation would be taken away. A bill of rights would prevent the federal government from having too much power over the people, as well as securing their basic rights with the intention of never taking them away.

What was South Carolina's main argument against the protective tariffs of 1828 and 1832? How valid do you think their argument w
FinnZ [79.3K]

South Carolina and the US government had big dispute resulting in a political crises because of the tariffs that the US implemented for the foreign goods. South Carolina was not pleased at all as it was the most affected state and it was losing lot of profit because of it. The main arguments of South Carolina was exactly that, that the state is losing a lot of profit, and that the tariffs are having very negative effect on its economy and development. The other argument was that the US decision was not constitutional, and that all states should be able to decide about the tariffs by themselves.

On one side, South Carolina had valid arguments, as it really was badly affected economically, so from its perspective it was not fair. On the other side, South Carolina was part of the US, so it should respect the government's policies, especially when those measures lift up the overall economy of the country.

Is the "just peace" or the "peace of vengeance" a better policy? Why?
Studentka2010 [4]

Answer:

Just peace is a better policy.

Explanation:

Just peace was a policy that sought to avoid conflict by assuming that all people of all nations were equal and had the same rights. On the other hand, the Peace of Revenge was a policy that preached that the lands of the conquered countries had to be linked to the colonial lands to generate more power and control to the colonizers.

Depending on your point of view, you may think that peace of vengeance is a better policy, but it is always better to establish equal among all and avoid unnecessary conflicts.
