To factor the trinomial, you can use the ac method where you multiply the first and last terms together (6 and 9) and add up to 15.
In this case ac= 54
2 numbers that multiply to 54 and add up to 15 would be 6 and 9 so place these numbers where the 15 would be:
6p^{2} +9p + 6p+9
Then group terms to simplify:
(6p^{2} +9p)(6p+9)

Simplify any like terms:
3p(2p+3) 3(2p+3)
And group together again:
(3p+3)(2p+3)
You can simplify a 3 out of the first expression one more time to get:
3(p+1)(2p+3)
Which would be the factored form. I hope this helps :)

Actor using the ac method

for
ax²+bx+c when a≠1

multiply a and c  and remember their product
find what 2 numbers multiply to get that product and add to be
split b into those 2 numbers
factor

so

first factor the 3
3(2p²+5p+3)
multiply a and c
2*3=6
wat 2 numbers multiply to get 6 and add to 5
oh ya, 2 and 3

3(2p²+2p+3p+3)
gropu and factor
3((2p²+2p)+(3p+3))
3(2p(p+1)+3(p+1))
3(2p+3)(p+1) is factored

Area of a rectangle is 81 m^2. Express the perimeter of the rectangle as a function of the length (L) of one of its sides
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:

P = 2\bigg(\dfrac{l^2 + 81}{l}\bigg)~m

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Area of rectangle = 81 square meter.

Let l be the length of the rectangle and b be the breadth of rectangle.

Then, we can write,

\text{Area of rectangle} = \text{Length}\times \text{breadth}\\A = l\times b\\81 = l\times b\\\\b = \dfrac{81}{l}~m

Perimeter of rectangle =

2(\text{Lenght + Breadth})

Putting values, we get,

P = 2(l + b)\\P = 2(l + \dfrac{81}{l})\\\\P = 2\bigg(\dfrac{l^2 + 81}{l}\bigg)~m

Find the solution to this system of equations x+y=1<br> 2x-y+z=1<br> x+2y+z=8/3
drek231 [11]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  (x, y, z) = (1/3, 2/3, 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the first equation to write an expression for x that can be substituted into the other equations.

  x = 1 -y

  2(1 -y) -y +z = 1   ⇒   -3y +z = -1

  (1 -y) +2y +z = 8/3   ⇒   y +z = 5/3

Subtracting the first of these equations from the second gives ...

  (y +z) -(-3y +z) = (5/3) -(-1)

  4y = 8/3

  y = 2/3

  z = 5/3 -y = 1

  x = 1 -y = 1/3

The solution is (x, y, z) = (1/3, 2/3, 1).

solniwko [45]

Answer:

The correct answer is D because  for example...

Step-by-step explanation:

If b squared minus 4ac is non-negative, so at 0 or greater, we have at least one real solution. If it's less than 0, if it's negative, we have no real solutions!

Hope I was able to help, and I hope you Have a good day! :)

1/5x +1/2 = -3(2/3x+3) how do i arrive at the answer
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

1/5x +1/2 = -3(2/3x+3)

1/5x +1/2 =-2/x-9

1/5x+2/x=-9-1/2

(2+1)/5x=(-18-1)/2

3×2=-19×5x

6=-95x

x=-6/95
