During the 1790s, the US was newly created, and had its first set of government body under our first president George Washington.
Some similarities between the political parties is that the US still follows a more Democratic leaning political system, in which the people still have most of the power to elect those who they believe would further the voters beliefs. People also protect the rights they were given since the Founding Fathers had written the Bill of Rights, and work hard to make sure their rights are not enroached.
Some differences is that there is no more slavery. In the age of the Founding Fathers, Slavery was prevalent mostly in the South, and the right to own slaves was even added into the Constitution, how be it removed during the presidency of Abraham Lincoln.
