Answer:

27 feet of fencing will be required to enclose the triangular garden.

Step-by-step explanation:

Adaline is designing a garden in the shape of a 45º-45º-90º triangle, with an area of 32 ft².

So, the triangle is isosceles right triangle with, Base = Height = x ft. (Say)

So, the area of the triangle,  \frac{1}{2} \times (\textrm {Base}) \times (\textrm {Height}) = 32

⇒  \frac{1}{2} x^{2} = 32

⇒ x² = 64

⇒ x = 8 feet.

So, the hypotenuse = \sqrt{8^{2} + 8^{2}} = 8\sqrt{2} = 11.3 feet.

Therefore, the perimeter of the triangle will be = (8 + 8 + 11.3) = 27.3 ≈ 27 feet.

So, 27 feet of fencing will be required to enclose the triangular garden. (Answer)

Answer:

27 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A garden in the shape of a 45º-45º-90º triangle.

Area of triangle= 32 ft²

As given dimension of triangle, we understand that it is a right angle and triangle and since two angles are equal, therefore two sides of triangle are also equal.

∴ Base and height will be equal.

Assuming base is also as "h"

Now, finding the length of base and height by using area of triangle formula.

Area of triangle=  \frac{1}{2} \times base\times height

⇒32= \frac{1}{2} \times h\times h

Multiplying both side by 2

⇒64= h^{2}

Square rooting both side, remember; √a²= a

⇒  \sqrt{64} = h

∴ h= 8 feet

Hence, both base and height of right angle triangle is 8 feet.

Next, finding total fencing required to enclose the garden.

Perimeter of garden is equal to the amount of fencing required by Adaline.

Therefore, finding the length of hypotenous of triangle too.

Using pythogorean theoram.

h^{2} = a^{2} +b^{2}, where a is the height and b is the base of triangle.

⇒ h^{2}= 8^{2}  +8^{2}

⇒ h^{2} = 128

Square rooting both side

⇒h= \sqrt{128}

∴ h= 11.3 feet

Perimeter of garden= base+height+hypotenous

⇒ Perimeter of garden= 8+8+11.3= 27.3\ feet \approx 27\ feet

Hence, 27 feet fencing is required to enclose the garden.

if a duck is quacking upside down and I drive my car into the refrigerator then why is there an octopus on my ceiling?
Amanda [17]
Since the ducks quack in the reverse position of upright is louder than normal, it obstructs your driving causing you to drive into a refrigerator. the octopus had always been there

Answer:

1st picture: (0,4)

The lines intersect at point (0,4).

2nd picture: Graph D

2x ≥ y - 1

2x - 5y ≤ 10

Set these inequalities up in standard form.

y ≤ 2x + 1

-5y ≤ 10 - 2x → y ≥ -2 + 2/5x → y ≥ 2/5x - 2

When you divide by a negative number, you switch the inequality sign.

Now you have:

y ≤ 2x + 1

y ≥ 2/5x - 2

Looking at the graphs, you first want to find the lines that intersect the y-axis at (0, 1) and (0, -2).

In this case, it is all of them.

Next, you would look at the shaded regions.

The first inequality says the values are less than or equal to. So you look for a shaded region below a line. The second inequality says the values are greater than or equal to. So you look for a shaded region above a line.

That would mean Graph B or D.

Then you look at the specific lines. You can see that the lower line is y ≥ 2/5x - 2. You need a shaded region above this line. You can see the above line is y ≤ 2x + 1. You need a shaded region below this line. That is Graph D.
