For this case we have the following function:

f (w) = 7w + 1

We have the following variables:

w: number of weeks

f (w): total number of apples

For the beginning, that is, week zero we have:

f (0) = 7 (0) + 1\\f (0) = 0 + 1\\f (0) = 1

That is, at the beginning there was an apple.

Answer:

the 1 represents:

The number of apples at the start

Please give a good explanation and show your work as well
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

A) down

B) x intercept (5, 0)

   y intercept (0, 80)

C) 144 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

y = Ax² + Bx + C

y = -16x² + 64x + 80

A)

Parabola opens down because A is negative

B)

x intercept (5, 0)

x = (-64 ±√(64² - 4(-16)(80))) / (2(-16))

x = -1  which means if the profile is continuous, the balloon launched one hour ago.

or

x = 5 which means the balloon will be on the ground in 5 hours.

(assuming level ground or no wind at all.

y intercept

y = -16(0)² + 64(0) + 80

y = 80 ft

meaning the balloon is already 80 feet above the ground when we start looking at t = 0

C)

Maximum altitude will occur when the vertical velocity is zero. Velocity is the derivative of position.

x' = -32x + 64

0 = -32x + 64

32x = 64

x = 2 hrs

y = -16(2)² + 64(2) + 80

y = 144 ft

Need a refresh on scientific notation? help.
Dmitrij [34]
Scientific notation can be scary but it really is simple
the exponent after the 10 is how many places you move the decimal. If it is positive you move it right, if it negative you move it left
2 x 10^2 means you move the decimal place right twice to make 200
4 x 10^-3 means you move the decimal place left three times to make .004
The question is asking you to multiply 900000 and .0000006

A supermarket had bags of blue grapes for $18.00 for 4 bags. They also had bags of green grapes priced at $6.04 for 2 bags. Whic
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

Blue grape in most expensive

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Amount of blue grapes = $18

Number of blue grapes = 4 bags

Amount of green grapes = $6.04

Number of green grapes = 2 bags

Find:

Which grape in most expensive

Computation:

Cost of blue grapes = 18 / 4

Cost of blue grapes = $4.5

Cost of green grapes = 6.04 / 2

Cost of green grapes = $3.02

Blue grape in most expensive
