The Narrator from the Man of the Crowd. The Narrator in The Man of the Crowd introduces the reader to his past. The reader learns that the he is recovering from a sickness that nearly killed him. Smoking a cigar in the “D—Coffee-House” in London the narrator regales the reader, of the crowd he is surrounded by.
