To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

 1. When a rectangle is dilated by a scale of factor, you must multiply the original dimensions by this scale of factor to obtain the new dimensions.

 2. The original dimensions are: The width is 5inches and the length is 9 inches

 3. Therefore, the new dimensions are:

Width=3(5inches)=15inches\\ Lenght=3(9inches)=27inches

 The answer is the option C: C) 15inches by 27 inches

Business Calc Question: A certain D. Kong is producing and selling bananas. Let p be the price of a bushel of bananas and let x
mylen [45]
I could be wrong because I didn’t take business calculus, but i guess it’s the same as regular calculus.

So I assumed that the revenue is equal to the price times the amount produced: R=px

Now differentiating, I get: dR/dt =pdx/dt +xdp/dx. I used the product rule

But Mr. Kong wants his revenue constant ? So I assume that dR/dt=0

Plug in values and solve dx/dt. Please message me back. I want to see if I got it write

I don’t get it if explain plz
castortr0y [4]

Add the two equations:

2x + 4y = 16

-2x - 3y = -6

2x + -2x = 0

4y -3y = y

16-6 = 10

When you add the equations you get y = 10

Now you have a value for y, use the first equation to solve for x:

2x + 4(10) = 16

2x + 40 = 16

Subtract 40 from both sides:

2x = -24

Divide both sides by 2

X = -12

Answer: x = -12 and y = 10
