These agreements provided for the end of the conflicts, the opening of negotiations on the occupied territories, the withdrawal of Israel from southern Lebanon and the question of the status of Jerusalem. The following year, he won the Nobel Peace Prize with Israeli politicians Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin.
