The rhyming scheme of the given last words of six lines of poetry is AABBAB.

Explanation:

It is not necessary for every poem to have a rhyming pattern. The poems that do not follow any rhyming pattern or standard conventions are called free-verses. The rhyming pattern of the poem is called as rhyming scheme. The poem with six lines in a stanza is called sestet poem.

The first two words ends with same rhymes of lightening and fightening. The third and fourth ends with another same rhymes of soul and troll. Again fifth and sixth gets repeated from first and third words.

The first rhyming word in the line is marked as A; if the second line has a word that rhymes like the word in first line, and then you can mark it as A again. Else, the second line rhyming is marked as B. This pattern continues till the last line of the stanza.

The option below that is the most effective explanatory thesis for the prompt is: B. Baseball and softball are very similar games, which differ mainly in the style and speed of play.

The explanatory thesis is a type of statement that only presents the topic to be discussed by the author.

It does not take a stance on the subject. It is the opposite of the argumentative essay where the author takes a position on the subject.

Option B is the best explanatory thesis because it notes the fact that there is a similarity between the games. It also revealed the major differences.
