In one day, Ricardo hiked 2_ 2 3 times as far as Bernie and Chloe hiked before they ate lunch. How far did he hike?
umka21 [38]

Complete question :

Bernie and Chloe hiked the Tremont Trail to the end and back. Then they hiked the Wildflower trail to the end before stopping to eat lunch. Before Ricardo ate his lunch, he hiked 2 2/3 times as far as Bernie and Chloe. How far did he hike?

Required diagram is attached below

Answer:

25 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Tremont Trail = 3 1/2 miles

Wildflower trail = 2 3/8 miles

Distance covered ; Tremont Trail and back : (3 1/2 * 2). = 7/2 * 2 = 14 /2 = 7 miles

Total distance covered by Bernie and Chloe before stopping for lunch /

(7 miles + 2 3/8 Miles) = 9 3/8 miles = 75/8 miles

Ricardo's distance = 2 2/3 * Bernie and Chloe's total distance

Ricardo's distance = 8/3 * 75/8 = 600 /24 = 25 miles

I need help with this question. Can someone please help me with it. Thanks in advance
trasher [3.6K]
Okay, 72 degrees is equal to (5x-98), so
72=5x-98
5x=170
x=34

So now that we know that x=34, we can put 34 into (5x-98), so 170-98
170-98 and y are supplementary, so they add up to 180 degrees. So the equation is
170-98+y=180
72+y=180
y=180-72
y=108

A bakery offers a sale price of $3.50 for 4 muffins. What is the price per dozen?
Elena-2011 [213]
A dozen is 12 and since 4 is a multiple of 12, I did 12 divided by 4 which is three. So i did 3.50 multiplied by 3 and the answer is 10.50

Answer:

  y = (x -1)² -16

Step-by-step explanation:

Note the location of the vertex (point A) on the graph. Its x-coordinate is readily identifiable as 1. Its y-coordinate is some value between -15 and -20, closer to -15. (If you go to the trouble of finding the vertex coordinates, you discover they are (1, -16).)

Once you have determined what the vertex is, you can compare the offered answer choices to the vertex form ...

  y = (x -h)² +k

where (h, k) are the vertex coordinates. That is, you are looking for an answer choice that is something like ...

  y = (x -1)² -16
