Attitudes are more often revealed in spoken rather than written language because we use our tone and pitch. If we're mad our tones and pitch differs from being sad and happy.

In spoken language you can identify speech patterns such as stuttering which might conclude to being nervous. In written language you can't exactly hear the enthusiasm said, when somebody talks about what they love to do.
