The correct answer is D. In 1893 wealthy planters in Hawaii revolted because Queen Liliuokalani attempted to restore power to the Hawaiian monarchy.

In 1898, Queen Liliuokalani drafted a new constitution that restored the authority of the monarchy and reduced the benefits that Americans and Europeans had obtained in 1887 from former King Kalakaua.

In response to Liliuokalani in her attempt to enact a new Constitution, a group of European and American residents in Hawaii formed a "Security Committee" on January 14, 1893, in opposition to the Queen and her plans. After a massive gathering of supporters, the Committee committed to the elimination of the monarchy, and the search for annexation to the United States.

Phoenix [80]
One represents the legislative branch, the other judicial. This is referring to the controversial decision FDR made in which he wanted to pack the Supreme Court with more justices, in an effort to get more Democrat friendly justices so that the agenda could be pushed further. This would not end up going through though because of the controversy surrounding this move
