Environmental impacts of increased protein consumption

Explanation:

Protein is a major macronutrient that helps in body building and present more in animal sources. Hence increase in population raises the demand for more protein based foods. So, there is a huge increase in animal farming.

Animal farming directly impacts the environment as it is one of the major causes of global warming and environmental pollution.

Grazing is a common feeding method for farming animals and this reduces the greenery of vast lands which can store more carbon. Thereby these animals affect the carbon footprint.

Next, farm animals release a lot of methane in their waste products. Methane is one of the major greenhouse gases and increases global warming.

Moreover, animal waste effluents pollute the surrounding natural land and water sources with contaminants including harmful pathogens.

How would the removal of keystone species affect an ecosystem's biodiversity
klasskru [66]
The keystone species is the one at the bottom of the pyramid, if we look at it like a pyramid. If the grass dies, then the deer cannot get food and die, and the predator cannot eat and dies, and the whole ecosystem can fall apart.
