Using Real GDP per Capita has many disadvantages. One of which, would be that it actually promotes the global crisis of pollution since it causes more economic activity. Not only once, but twice; they count it for when it is caused and when it is cleaned up. As well as the fact that alternatives to Real GDP per Capita include sales of used goods and sales from inventories of goods that were produced in previous years, while GDP per Capita does not.
