Y=mx+b
All you have to do is plug in your x and y values and for the b you have to find your u-int and m is your slope(your rise over run)... I don’t have any graphing paper right now sooo I can’t really solve it But if you just plug in.. You’ll find the answer quickly

serg [7]
Hello there! An example problem for this could be:
Emile is looking for a cell-phone plan. His two options are one that costs $40 up front, and costs $0.01 per text, represented by x. The second one is 15 dollars up front and costs $0.06 for each text message. Emile figures that for the first package he has to send 500 texts or more to make it less than the second one.

Which choice is the solution for this system ? 2x − 5y = 14 x + 3 2 y = 5
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

The required solution is (5.75,-0.5). It can be written as (\frac{11}{4},-\frac{1}{2}).

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equations are

2x-5y=14                       .... (1)

x+\frac{3}{2}y=5            .... (2)

Multiply the equation (2) by 2.

2x+3y=10                     .... (3)

Subtract equation (1) from equation (3).

2x+3y-(2x-5y)=10-14

2x+3y-2x+5y=-4

8y=-4

y=-\frac{1}{2}=-0.5

Put this value in equation (1).

2x-5(-0.5)=14

2x+2.5=14

2x=11.5

x=5.75

Therefore the required solution is (5.75,-0.5). It can be written as (\frac{11}{4},-\frac{1}{2}).

iris [78.8K]
All of the answer choices that you are given are incorrect. I have calculated it in all different ways and get the same thing and it is none of those. The correct answer would be -75 though.
