Plug in the solutions into the function y = x + 8

(-2 , 6)

So

y = x + 8

6 = -2 + 8

6 = 6 True

(4 , 12)

y = x + 8

12 = 4 + 8

12 = 12 True

Plug in the solutions into the function 2y = x^2 + 8

(-2 , 6)

2y = x^2 + 8

2(6) = (-2)^2 + 8

12 = 4 + 8

12 = 12 True

(4 , 12)

2y = x^2 + 8

2(12) = (4)^4 + 8

24 = 16 + 8

24 = 24 True

Answer:

A cube has an edge length of 6 cm. It is to be enlarged by a scale factor of 4. What is the surface area ratio of the enlarged c
Andru [333]
The surface area ratio of the enlarged cube to the original cube is 16:1, or as a fraction, 16/1.

If the scale factor is 4, the edge length of the enlarged cube is 24 cm.
(6 × 4 = 24)

To find the surface area of a cube, you can use the formula SA=6a^2, where a is equal to the edge length of the cube.

First, I will solve for the surface area of the original cube.

SA = 6 × 6²
SA = 6 × 36
SA = 216

Next, I will solve for the surface area of the enlarged cube.

SA = 6 × 24²
SA = 6 × 576
SA = 3456

To find the ratio, we divide the original cube's surface area from the enlarged cube's surface area.

3456 ÷ 216 = 16

The surface area ratio of the enlarged cube to the original cube is 16:1, or as a fraction, 16/1.

The manager of music is giving away 255 music downloads at its grand opening event.
Andreas93 [3]

30 people will receive 1 music download each.

<u>Solution: </u>

Given, the manager of music is giving away 255 music downloads at its grand opening event.

The manger gave the greatest possible number of music downloads to each of the first 75 customers,

Now, suppose, manager gave 4 downloads each for first 75 customers.

Then, total downloads = 75 x 4 = 300 downloads, which is greater than 255, so giving 4 to 1st 75 is not possible.

Now, suppose, he gave 3 to each customer, then total downloads = 75 x 3 = 225, it is possible

So, manager will give 3 downloads each to 1st 75 customers.

Then remaining downloads = 255 – 225 = 30 downloads, then 30 people can use them.

Hence, 30 people will receive 1 music download each.

s344n2d4d5 [400]
We know that
[area of a circle ]=pi*r²
diameter=4 in
 r=4 in/2-----> 2 in

so
area=pi*2²-----> area of the circle=4*pi in²

the answer is
the area, in square inches, of the circle is <span>3.14 • 2²</span>
