There is only one distinct triangle possible, with m∠N ≈ 33°.

Answer:

One obtuse scalene triangle

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that in a triangle MNO side m =20, side n =14 and angle m = 51

Angle N = sin inverse of (nsin M/m) =32.957 degrees

Angle O = 180-M-N =96.043 degrees

Side o = 25.592

There is one triangle only.

This is because angle N can have two values 32.957 or 147.043

But if m = 51 other angle cannot be 147.043 hence there is only one value for angle N.

When there is only one value for angle N, angle O also can have only one value

So no of triangles = 1

I need to know how the find the value of x
Anit [1.1K]
The Pythagorean theorem a²+b²=c²
16²+18²=c²
256+324 = 580
√580
24=4x-6
(add six both sides)
30=4x
(divide 4 both sides.)

The midpoint of RS¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ is M. Use the given endpoint R(23, 14) and midpoint M(13, 8) to find the coordinates of the other endp
Oksanka [162]

The coordinates of other endpoint S is (3, 2)

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that midpoint of RS is M

Given endpoint R(23, 14) and midpoint M(13, 8)

To find: coordinates of the other endpoint S

<em><u>The formula for midpoint is given as:</u></em>

For a line containing containing two points (x_1, y_1) and (x_2, y_2) midpoint is given as:

m(x, y)=\left(\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2}, \frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2}\right)

Here in this problem,

m(x, y) = (13, 8)

(x_1, y_1) = (23, 14)\\\\(x_2, y_2) = ?

Substituting the given values in above formula, we get

(13,8)=\left(\frac{23+x_{2}}{2}, \frac{14+y_{2}}{2}\right)

Comparing both the sides we get,

\begin{aligned}&13=\frac{23+x_{2}}{2} \text { and } 8=\frac{14+y_{2}}{2}\\\\&26=23+x_{2} \text { and } 16=14+y_{2}\\\\&x_{2}=3 \text { and } y_{2}=2\end{aligned}

Thus the coordinates of other endpoint S is (3, 2)

4−(3x−8)=21 solve this pls
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

4 - ( 3x - 8 ) = 21

break the bracket first ,it gives : 4 - 3x + 8 = 21

12 - 3x = 21

- 3x = 21 - 12

- 3x = 9

-x = 9/3

-x = 3

X = - 3

[ check if the answer is correct, put -3 instead of X in the above equation ! we get 4 - { 3(-3) - 8 } = 21

4 - { - 9 - 8 } = 21

4 - { - 17 } = 21

break the bracket, minus and minus will multiply and will become plus , so we have 4 + 17 = 21 , hence 21 = 21 ! therefore X = -3
