<span>The white blood cells are the ones who leave the blood and enter tissues to fight off pathogens and invaders. The answer is letter D. They are not platelets because platelets help the healing of wounds and prevent it from bleeding by forming blood clots on the wounded area. They are not red blood cells because they carry oxygen all throughout the body organs. Francesco Redi conducted an experiment to test the hypothesis that maggots arose via spontaneous generation. What prediction did
Volgvan

The prediction Redi made was that Maggots weren't going to rise on the jars fully covered, he wasn't a scientist that actually suported the hypothesis that life was generated spontaneouly, that's why he made this experiment.

Although many scientists didn't agree with him, it was a very importante experiment for the new hypothesis to come because he was one of the first ones to present it to the world. The hypothesis accepted for some people at that time was that life could rise spontaneously because of rotten food. To prove them wrong, Redi took 8 jars containing meat inside of them, half of them were fully sealed, and the rest was let into the open air. You know what happened right? The ones that were sealed didn't grow up maggots, but the others did.

In a monohybrid cross, if the gene for tall (T) plants was incompletely dominant over the gene for short (t) plants, what would
iVinArrow [24]

The result of the cross of an intermediate plant (Tt) with a tall plant (TT), when the tall gene (T) is incompletely dominant over the short gene (t) will be as shown in the punnet square below. The gametes formed will be T , T , T, and t (Where T is the allele for tall while t is the allele for short). The punnet square shows that the 50 % of the progeny of this cross will be tall (TT), and the other 50% will be intermediate (Tt). Hence, the correct answer is 'Option C - 50 percent tall, 50 percent intermediate'.
