The number of cookies packs needed if the treasurer buys 1 package of brownies bites is 5 packs

<h3>Equation</h3>

  • Total attendance = 75 people
  • Cookies in each pack = 12
  • Brownies in each pack = 15
  • Number of cookies pack = c
  • Number of brownies pack = b

15b + 12c = 75

If 1 package of brownies is bought

15b + 12c = 75

15(1) + 12c = 75

15 + 12c = 75

12c = 75 - 15

12c = 60

c = 60/12

c = 5 packs

  • It is a reasonable value in this context

If 9 packages of brownies are bought

15b + 12c = 75

15(9) + 12c = 75

135 + 12c = 75

12c = 75 - 135

12c = -60

c = -60/12

c = -5 packs

  • The value is not reasonable in this context

let f(x)=4x-5. describe the transformation from the graph of f to the graphs s(x)= -f(x) and t(x)= f (-x)
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

Answer:

g(x)=-6/5x+1/2

h(x)=-6/5x-1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

1).   g(x)=−f(x) ?

f(x)=6/5x−1/2

g(x)=−(6/5x−1/2)

g(x)=-6/5x+1/2

2). h(x)=f(−x) ?

f(-x)=6/5(-x)−1/2

f(-x)=-6/5x-1/2

h(x)=-6/5x-1/2

Divya and Miguel were asked to find an explicit formula for the sequence 80,40,20,10,..
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

a_n =80(0.5)^{n-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The explicit formula for a geometric sequence is  written as:

a_n = a_1(r)^{n-1}

where

a_1 is the first term

r is the common ratio

we have the sequence

80,40,20,10,..

so

a_1=80\\a_2=40\\a_3=20\\a_4=10

\frac{a_2}{a_1}=\frac{40}{80}=0.5

\frac{a_3}{a_2}=\frac{20}{40}=0.5

\frac{a_4}{a_3}=\frac{10}{20}=0.5

therefore

r=0.5

substitute

a_n =80(0.5)^{n-1}

Answer:

The rate of simple interest for loan was 8%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Principal amount = p = $6200

Time = t = 1 year

Amount after interest = $6696

We have to calculate the amount of interest first

So,

Interest amount =I= Amount after interest - principal amount

= 6696-6200

=$496

The formula for simple interest is:
