Cos(37)= \frac{adjacent}{hypothenuse} =  \frac{4}{5}
The hypotenuse is 5 unit and the adjacent side to the angle is 4 unit. We can find the other side using Pythagoras theorem

\sqrt{5^{2}- (4^{2})  } = \sqrt{9}=3

Hence the value of sin(37)= \frac{opposite}{hypothenuse}= \frac{3}{5}

The function for finding the population growth in Liverpool is given by f(t) = 35(1.2)t. What is the initial population? 0.2 35
jasenka [17]
T - would be time
35 - initial population
1.2 - growing anual ration

So for ex if you want to know how much it will grow in 10 yrs:

f(10) = 35(1.2)10
= 42*10
= 420 people after 10 yrs

Simplify the expression 5+6i/4+6i<br> A) 56-6i/-20<br> B) -16-6i/-20<br> C)56-6i/52<br> D) -16-6i/52
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

The\ simplified\ form\ of\ the\ \frac{5 + 6i}{4 + 6i}\ is\ \frac{56-6i}{52}.

Option (C) is correct .

Step-by-step explanation:

As the expression given in the question as follows.

= \frac{5 + 6i}{4 + 6i}

Now rationalize the expression.

= \frac{5 + 6i\times 4 - 6i}{4 + 6i\times 4 - 6i}

Using the formula

a² - b² = (a - b) (a + b)

Using in the above

= \frac{5 + 6i\times 4 - 6i}{(4)^{2} - (6i)^{2}}

= \frac{5\times 4-5\times 6i+6i\times 4-36\ i^{2}}{16 - 36(i)^{2}}

As i² = -1

= \frac{20-30i+24i+36}{16 + 36}

= \frac{56-6i}{52}

Therefore\ the\ simplified\ form\ of\ the\ \frac{5 + 6i}{4 + 6i}\ is\ \frac{56-6i}{52}.

Option (C) is correct .

Y + 2 =1/2(x – 3).<br><br> Please help ?!?
Sidana [21]

first, spread the parenthesis. y+2=1/2x-1.5

second, add 1.5 to both sides. y+3.5=1/2x

third, multiply by 2. 2y+7=x

if you are solving for y, do not do the third step, instead, subtract by 3.5. y=x-3.5

hope this helps!

ANSWER: x=2y+7 or y=x-3.5

Answer:

C. It has been stretched horizontally.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the diagram, the parabola has not been reflected in any way, nor has it been translated, since the parabola is pointing up in a smile, and the vertex is still at the origin.

The parabola does appear to be stretched, since the parent function had points at (1, 1), and (2, 4), but this parabola does not contain those points.

Since the parabola appears to be flatter than the parent function, we can say that C. It has been stretched horizontally.

Hope this helps!
