The formula of a surface area of a cylinder:
S.A.=2\pi r(r+H)

We have:
r=1m;\ H=10m
substitute:
S.A.=2\pi\cdot1\cdot(1+10)=2\pi\cdot11=22\pi\ m^2\approx22\cdot3.14=69.08\ m^2

Leonardo wrote an equation that has an infinite number of solutions. One of the terms in Leonardo’s equation is missing, as show
Lady bird [3.3K]

Let us suppose missing term is y

so it becomes - ( x-1) + 5 = 2 ( x+3) - y

let us now try solving it for x ( in terms of y )

-x + 1 + 5 = = 2x + 6 - y

-x + 6 = 2x + 6 -y

6 + y = 2x + 6 +x

y = 3x

y / 3 = x

but x is given to be infinite . let us try placing y= the given options

x= x/3 which is not possible

x= 3x/3 which is giving valid statement

x= 1/3 which is a finite value

x= 5/3 again a finite value

so it is only y= 3x which could be the answer

Answer : option second that is 3x

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-9, -8)((−15,−16)? Write your answer in simplest form.
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

Therefore the slope of the line that passes through the points (-9, -8),(−15,−16) is

Slope=\dfrac{4}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Let,

point A( x₁ , y₁) ≡ ( -9 ,-8)

point B( x₂ , y₂ )≡ (-15 ,-16)

To Find:

Slope = ?

Solution:

Slope of Line Segment AB is given as

Slope(AB)=\dfrac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1} }

Substituting the values we get

Slope(AB)=\dfrac{-16-(-8)}{-15-(-9)}\\\\Slope(AB)=\dfrac{-16+8}{-15+9}\\\\Slope(AB)=\dfrac{-8}{-6}=\dfrac{4}{3}

Therefore the slope of the line that passes through the points (-9, -8),(−15,−16) is

Slope(AB)=\dfrac{4}{3}

Lindsey Smith was the top scorer in a women's professional basketball league for the 2006 regular season, with a total of 864 po
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

Number of 3 point goals = 85

Number of 2 point goals = 3(85) - 62 = 193

Number of free throws = 3(85)- 32 = 223

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

2 point goals

Number of 3 point goals = x

Number of 2 point goals = 3x - 62

Number of free throws = 3x - 62 - 30 = 3x - 32

3x + 2(3x - 62)+ 3x - 32= 864.

3x + 6x - 124 + 3x - 32 = 864

12x = 864+ 124 + 32

12x =1020

x = 1020 / 12

x = 85

Number of 3 point goals = 85

Number of 2 point goals = 3(85) - 62 = 193

Number of free throws = 3(85)- 32 = 223
