The organization that forged identity cards was the Free Netherlands.
They not only handed identity cards, but also offered places to people to hide in there, and offered some money to help them.
The wartime identity cards were used in the Netherlands at the beginning of World War II. But after the invasion of the German troops in 1940, all Dutch were required to show identity cards. The cards used by Jews had a big "J" in black and capital letter, for immediate identification.
