I'm guessing 90 hours because if you add their hours together it'll be 180 if they work together it'll be like half the time which is 90

Adiya said that the first step to solving the quadratic equation x2 + 6 = 20x by completing the square was to divide 6 by 2, squ
maksim [4K]

Answer:

No, it is incorrect.

Step-by-step explanation:

The quadratic equation is

x^2+6 = 20x or x^2-20x+6=0. To complete square we take the coefficient of x divided by 2, square that value and add the result to both sides. In the equation given the number to do the process is 20, not 6, then the solution method is incorect.

Find the inverse for 43 modulo 660
Tatiana [17]
We're looking for x such that

43x\equiv1\mod{660}

so for some integer n we can write

43x+660n=1

Apply Euclid's algorithm:

660=43(15)+15
43=15(2)+13
15=13(1)+2
13=2(6)+1
\implies(660,43)=(43,15)=(15,13)=(13,2)=1

From this we have

1=13-2(6)
\implies1=-6(15)+7(13)
\implies1=-20(15)+7(43)
\implies1=-20(660)+307(43)
\implies(-20(660)+307(43))\equiv307(43)\equiv1\mod{660}

which means 307 is the inverse of 43 modulo 660.

Find two factors of the first number such that their product is the first and the sum is the second for 51,20
anygoal [31]

The factors are 17 and 3.

The given conditions are two factors of the first number, 51 such that their product is 51 and the sum is the second number 20.
let say, the factors are x and y.

therefore, we can write, x.y = 51 ... (1)  and x + y = 20 .... (2)

Putting  the value of x from equation (2) in  equation (1) we get,

(20 - y).y = 51

or, 20y - y² = 51

or, y² - 20y + 51 = 0

or, y = 17, 3

then x = 3,17

Therefore, The factors are 17 and 3.
