This is how you cite a website according to the MLA norm:

"Famous Events in History." <em>The History Database</em>,  www.HistoryDataBase.net. Accessed 25 Apr. 2014. (C)

When quoting a web publication, the right order and formatting is as follows:

  1. Author name (if available) followed by a period
  2. Title of publication between quotation marks and followed by a period
  3. Name of website in italics and followed by a comma
  4. Date of publication (if available) followed by a comma
  5. URL followed by a period
  6. Date of access followed by a period.
