10 pound = x oz

10 × 16 = 160

10 pound = 160 oz

160 ÷ 8 = 20

20 bags (8 ounce bags) can be filled in a 10 pound bag. ;)

There are 16 oz per 1 lb. multiply 10 by 16 (to convert your lbs into oz) =160. Then divide that by 8 (to figure out how many 8oz bags it would fill) =20 bags. Or since each bag you want to fill is half a lb multiply the number of lbs by 2, which would also give you 20 :)
