Why civic and political participation of Jesse Jackson is important
Strike441 [17]

CIVIL AND POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF JESSE JACKSON:

Jesse Jackson, the African American civil activist turned politician is one of the national heroes America ever had. He being a black at America, faced racism against which, he started his fight with his civil rights activities.

He then turned into a politician, served as a shadow US senator and his name was in the US presidency nominations twice consequently which was itself a great achievement for anybody, especially for someone whose race faces most taunted non-humanitarian racist feelings. Hence, his civil and political participation was significant as it helped the backward people to take one step forward.
