Why is oceanic crust subducted under continental crust? answers?

Geography

When two tectonic plates push towards each other, one continental, and another oceanic, the oceanic plate is subducting under the continental plate. This is due to the fact that the oceanic plates's crust is weaker and has lesser density, while the continental is stronger and has bigger density, so when pushing against each other, the weaker, less dense, oceanic plate can not oppose the stronger, more dense, continental plate and slowly subducts under it.

The correct answers to the question '<u>which statements describe the focus of an earthquake? Check all that apply</u>' are:

B) It develops in the lithosphere.

C) It is the starting point of an earthquake.

E) It begins about 100 kilometers below earth's surface.

The <em>wrong answers</em> include A & D.

Why A is <u>false</u>: The rocks break under stress in the focus, not the focus creating stress in rock.

Why D is <u>false</u>: The focus is beneath the surface, not above.

14.) Which stage of the demographic transition model is declining fertility and low mortality, which shows high growth that is d
Ber [7]

Answer:

The high growth is declining is shown in the "stage 3."

Explanation:

Stage 3 demographic transition model tells us about the death rates which are very low and thus birth rates also diminished because of a rule. This has become possible because of the greater economic condition and expansion of the women status as well as education and availability of the contraception. The stage 3 takes the population towards the stability through reduced birth rate. The countries like Botswana, Colombia, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa and the United Arab emirates are some countries in the list.
