act III, scene IV

* Mistaken Identity due to a specific behavior- (Malvolio is taken for a crazy person)

Malvolio behaves as a mad and fool man due to the letter that was written and sent to him on behalf of Olivia; however, she knew nothing about the letter so she couldn't understand Malvolio's behavior and she sends him with Sir Toby and Maria (who wrote the letter) so that he can have a proper treatment for his craziness. Malvolio is taken for a crazy person when he was only acting like crazy due to the letter.

*Mistaken identity due to a disguise - Viola disguises her as Cesario, a man.

Andrew and Cesario find each other and they take out their swords to fight a duel but Antonio sees this situation and decides to fight Andrew instead and free Cesario of this fight because he thinks Cesario is his beloved Sebastian (Viola's twin brother).

act IV, scene I

*Mistaken identity due to a disguise - Since Sebastian and Viola are twins, there is a confusion.

The clown Feste finds Sebastian and he mistakens him for Cesario and tries to take him to Olivia´s house. Sebastian gets mad for this confusion and when Sir Andrew and Sir Toby appear, Sir Andrew takes out his sword and tries to fight him since a few minutes ago he was trying to do that, but Sebastian is very good with the sword, not like his sister Viola (disguised as Cesario) and he makes the noble man beg for his life.

act IV, scene III

**Mistaken identity due to a disguise - Viola disguises her as Cesario, a man.

Sebastian is at Olivia´s house and she confuses him with Cesario (who actually is Viola in a man disguise) and he is very confused because the beautiful Olivia is asking him if he still wants to get married with her and he says yes so both of them go to the priest and get married.

act V

*Mistaken identity due to a disguise - Viola disguises her as Cesario, a man.

Viola and Orsino arrive to Olivia´s house and also Antonio arrives with the law officers and he confuses Viola as Cesario for Sebastian and he accuses Viola to have stolen his purse and denied to know him.

*Olivia enters in the scene thinking that Cesario is betraying her by telling Orsino that she is in love with him when they just got married. Orsino takes Cesario (Viola) to be killed for this betrayal when the one that got married to Olivia was Sebastian.

* Sir Andrew and Sir Toby also accuse Cesario(Viola) of attacking and injuring them, but Cesario did nothing, it was Sebastian who attacked them.

* Sebastian arrives to Olivia´s house asking for forgiveness from Olivia for having injured Sir Andrew and Sir Toby and for the first time, the twins get together and start talking about all the identities, disguises and confusions.

act III, scene IV

Sir Toby brings the letter that challenges Viola/Cesario to a duel with Sir Andrew Aguecheek. Viola knows that her disguise has landed her in this situation. Despite her efforts to wriggle out of the situation, she finally has to take up the challenge.

Antonio enters the scene at this moment and mistakes Viola for Sebastian. He offers to fight on behalf of Sebastian. He is arrested, and in his defense, he states that he was only trying to protect Sebastian. Viola sees a ray of hope in this situation, believing that her brother Sebastian may actually be alive.

act IV, scene I

Feste, the clown, mistakes Sebastian for Cesario (Viola) and brings him to Olivia’s house. Sir Andrew and Sir Toby attack Sebastian thinking he is Cesario, who was in the duel; Sebastian retaliates and wounds them.

All through this mayhem, Sebastian remains confused as to what is happening. This chaos is a result of mistaken identity.

act IV, scene III

Sebastian is wondering about his sanity due to a series of strange events that are taking place around him. Olivia gives him a pearl and expresses her desire to marry him.

Sebstian is bewildered at this turn of events and is looking for Antonio. Olivia comes back with a priest and gets married to Sebastian. Olivia has taken these actions under the impression that Sebastian is Cesario, whom she loves.

act V

Orsino and Cesario meet Antonio. Antonio thinks that Cesario is Sebastian and admonishes him for running off with his money. Olivia is angry with Cesario for denying their recent marriage. Orsino rebukes Cesario for betraying his trust. Sir Andrew and Sir Toby accuse Cesario of attacking and injuring them.

Viola is bewildered by all these events. The accusations hurled at her are due to mistaken identity. Many of the characters think her twin brother Sebastian is Cesario.

Viola’s disguise is the root cause of this chaos. The complications reach a head in this act. The problems are resolved when Sebastian appears and his identity is revealed. PLATO

Read this excerpt from Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass.
fiasKO [112]

Answer: Choice D

...he that was strongest secured the best place; and few left the trough satisfied

============================================================

Explanation:

Frederick Douglass is describing the horrific conditions of what kind of food he ate and the conditions in which he had his meals. At the start of the paragraph, he describes the food itself (a corn meal called Mush). Then later on he describes how the food was served in a very degrading inhumane way (the food being served in a trough; effectively treating them as animals). Shortly after, he goes over how the food was eaten through a variety of means: use of oyster shells, shingles, or bare hands. None of which involves the regular utensils you'd expect such as a spoon.

At the very end of the excerpt, Frederick Douglass mentions that "He that ate the fastest got most; he was strongest secured the best place; and few left the trough satisfied". This effectively means that even though the food itself was horrible, and the conditions degrading, people were still hungry and had no other choice. Also, even the people who were able to eat the most weren't truly/fully fed.

So in short, the last part of the excerpt describes that the slaves weren't fed enough. If we could narrow down the cited evidence as much as possible, the portion that mentions "few left the trough satisfied" is the thing you should focus on.

How did the author's uncle attempt to defend the English? In your opinion, why is the uncle more tolerant of the English than th
aleksley [76]

Answer and Explanation:

This question is about "The dirty English."

The uncle tried to defend the English by trying to justify the behavior that the English had and that were very different from the behavior of the Hindus. It is likely that the uncle is more tolerant of the English than his grandmother because Uncle lived two years in England and learned to judge the English based on English culture and not based on Hindu culture, as the grandmother did.

Choose the analigy with the same relationship as downside is to upside A big is large B outside is to inside C boy is to girl D
Ksivusya [100]
Upside and downside can mean a positive and a negative aspect of something, respectively. However, none of the options here present a couple of something negative and something positive: so I think we need to use the local meaning. So our analogy is:

on one extreme of some location (on the upper side): on the other extreme.

Therefore the best other couple is outside and inside: they also show two opposite locations.
