Answer:

occurrence

Explanation:

So, first we need to identify the suffix for each of the words given.

Then, when we subtract that suffix, we identify all the two-syllable words that end with short vowel + consonant pattern.

And then, finally, we identify the word whose last consonant doubled upon adding the suffix.

Having this in mind, the only word that meets these conditions is occurrence.

When we subtract the suffix -ence, we are left with occurr. Since the verb is occur, we see that the last consonant r doubled when the suffix was added.

This is also the case with other suffixes, as in occurred, occurring etc.

Explain how the Wall Street Crash led to The Great Depression
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

The stock market crash of 1929 was not the sole cause of the Great Depression, but it did act to accelerate the global economic collapse of which it was also a symptom. By 1933, nearly half of America's banks had failed, and unemployment was approaching 15 million people, or 30 percent of the workforce.  Hope I helped! Have a great rest of your day! :)

Which statement shows bias?
vodomira [7]

Answer:

D.

Explanation:

Although A seems like a great answer as well, D is a statement that only gives  one side of a story. You and I both don't know the man, but the speaker of the sentence has already gotten you and I to think about one thing: The man's lack of intelligence.
