When Benjamin Franklin said "a republic, if you can keep it." he meant that The citizens of a republic have to participate and work to keep it.

He said this because our constitution is not a self correcting government. But, it requires the constant devotion and attention of all citizens in order to have a unified nation.

What was one of the first things Gerald Ford did when he became president?

Tourism is the _______ industry in the world.
OleMash [197]
This is really hard to estimate, as it's not exactly perfectly clear which parts of economy are tourism (which of the transportations? are museums tourism or education?)  and we have only estimates. Some of the estimates I have seen judge tourism to be only 6th ot 7th industry (but none of the options propose this!), but others say that it's third, so I'd go with a) - but definitely not c) or b). First is still food (agriculture, farming, etc)<span />

Why would the topic of human nature be important for developing an ideal form of government?
Aleks [24]

For modern society to develop normally, the people themselves, first of all, need to understand that the use of natural resources uncontrolled in the future will have serious consequences. But, unfortunately, in some countries the government solves environmental problems as they arrive, although there is such an organization as the "Club of Rome", it is engaged in environmental forecasting. People need to be given to understand that they are only part of nature and the consumption of natural resources should be roughly equal to the rest of the living creatures. In developed countries environmental education is at a good level, children from early years are taught to appreciate and cherish the environment. It is developed only in prosperous countries, and as the majority of adults belong to ecological consciousness very neutrally, simply because of ignorance of all ecological situation in the biosphere.
