The correct answers are C) It extended the abolitionists power to operate the Underground Railroad and D) It gave African Americans the right to fight in the war.

The effects that the emancipation had on the Civil War progressed were the following:  It extended the abolitionists power to operate the Underground Railroad and it gave African Americans the right to fight in the war.

People in the North opposed slavery and before and during the Civil War found ways to help slaves. The Underground Railroad was a group of Northerners that helped African Americans to escape the South and offered shelter. The Quakers were among those groups that offered help to slaves that wanted to escape from southern plantations. Another important issue of emancipation was that many blacks could enroll in the Union Army and were part of the troops that fought during the Civil War.

Why can Fascists can gain power? Select all that apply.
frozen [14]
Fascists represent an authoritarian and extremely far right wing form of highly nationalistic government, so they would gain power in times of social conflict that would leave people feeling threatened. This would be in: 1.), 2.), & 5.)
I don't think 3.) would apply as this was a huge issue in the Soviet Union, and yet the fascist government remained in power for decades. I also do not think 4.) would apply as growing minority power would limit the power of the potentially fascist "majority."
