Ryan began his speech by saying: "Imagine that you are on a deserted island---palm trees sway in the breeze, the warm sun is on

your face, and the smell of tropical flowers is in the air. Suddenly, the sound of a distant drum breaks your euphoria. What do you do--panic? What would you do if you found yourself in such a situation?" What kind of supporting material did Ryan use in his introduction?

Answer:

The supporting material Ryan used in his introduction is called:

Hypothetical example.

Explanation:

The hypothetical example is an example that develops a fiction scenario in which the speaker set the listeners in specific conditions to explain a topic to them. This is a very common tool used to think about the possible problems people would find in that situation, to observe their problem-solving processes and abilities, as well as their leadership and social abilities. It is a tool used in role-playing games, and psychodramas to develop certain learnings and abilities after reviewing a topic.

briefly discuss how relationships evolved and how people learn new ways to be intimate with one another
torisob [31]

Relationships have evolved in many ways.

When baby boomers were teenagers, or in their early twenty's, sometimes they'd look in the news paper to find dates, and go out for coffee after talking on the phone. It was customary for men to pay, and be a "gentleman" by opening his dates car door, or pulling their chair out for them.

Now, in the age of millennial's and gen-z, dating is very different. Usually men and women will split the check, or take turns paying. They'll meet on dating apps, or online somehow.

Intimacy has also changed, as men and women are allowed to be more of themselves, than follow societal rules.Men can be more open about their emotions, and how they feel, while women are allowed to be more stoic, and more bold than they would've been even ten years ago.

Which sentence has a pronoun with an unclear, missing, or confusing antecedent? A. Benjamin wrote a humorous poem for Uncle Arth
miss Akunina [59]
A would be the sentence with a confusing antecedent, because the "he" could have been referring to "Uncle Arthur" or "Benjamin."

write a compound sentence for katelyn loves to bake cakes she would bake if she had the time. how to write this
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

Explanation:

A compound sentence is one that makes 2 simple sentences into 1.

Sentence 1: Katelyn loves to bake cakes.

Sentence 2: She would bake if she had the time.

The easiest way to make this into a compound sentence is to use but or and between them. These two words (but and and) are coordinating conjunctions. But requires a comma.

Katelyn loves to bake cakes, but she would bake (more) if she had the time.

Another way is to use a semicolon

Katelyn loves to bake cakes; she would bake (more) if she had the time.
