The graph represents a function.
You can tell if a graph is function or not by using the vertical line test.
If the line only passes one point of the y-axe, it is a function. But when the graph passes more than two points, it is not a function.

Answer:

Yes, the graph represent a function.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a graph. We are asked to determine whether the graph represent a function or not.

To check a graph is function or not, we use vertical line test. We draw a vertical line on graph and see if it crosses the graph more than once, then the graph is not  function.

If vertical line crosses a graph only once, then the graph is a function.

Since our given graph is a horizontal line, so each vertical line will intersect the graph exactly at one place, therefore, the graph is a function.

Members of a senior class held a car wash to raise funds for their senior prom. They charged $3 to wash a car and $5 to wash a p
pashok25 [27]

Answer:the number of cars that were washed is 50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of cars that members of a senior class.

Let y represent the number of pick-up truck or a sport utility vehicle that members of a senior class.

They charged $3 to wash a car and $5 to wash a pick-up truck or a sport utility vehicle and they earned a total of $275. This means that

3x + 5y = 275 - - - - - - - - -- - -1

They washed a total of 75 vehicles. This means that

x + y = 75

Substituting x = 75 - y into equation 1, it becomes

3(75 - y) + 5y = 275

225 - 3y + 5y = 275

- 3y + 5y = 275 - 225

2y = 50

y = 50/2 = 25

Substituting y = 25 into x = 75 - y, it becomes

x = 75 - 25 = 50

This graph shows how the length of Karen's essay depends on the number of hours she spends writing this week.
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer: 0.8 pages per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

For this exercise it is important to know that, by definition, Direct variation equations have the following form:

y=kx

Where "k" is the constant of variation.

Therefore, it is a straight line that passes through the origin.

In this case, given the graph attached in the exercise, you can follow these steps in order to find the constant of variation:

Step 1: You need to choose any point on the line. Let's choose the point (5,4).

Step 2: Now you must ubstitute the coordinates of that point into  y=kx. Then:

4=k(5)

Step 3: Finally, you must solve for the Constant of variation "k", in order to find its value. Therefore, you get that this is:

k=\frac{4}{5}\\\\k=0.8

Mr gerhring has a 3/4 pound bag of flour to use for 6 cakes. how much flour is used for EACH cake?? I need work plz and thank u.
VMariaS [17]
The answer is B. You can find this by turning 3/4 into a decimal, which is .75. You can then divide .75 by 6 to get 0.125 (which is the decimal form of 1/8).
