Since you're finding the sum (adding) all you have to do is combine like terms.

5x ² is by itself because there is no other term with x²

3x and 12x because they have an x

-7 and 12 because they're normal coefficients

Then you're left with 5x² + 15x + 5, answer choice A

Answer:

  5x² + 3x - 7 + 12x + 12 = 5x² + 15x + 5

So here we have 3x and 12x, you can see that they have the common factor which is x, so you keep x and add 3 and 12 and we have 15x. For the numbers just calculate as usual. What you have 5x² left, there is no number to subtract or add with it so it will remain unchanged.

it, because you were so sure that you'd never need to use it ?  Do you
remember that ?

Well, HERE's where you get to use it.  This question is just looking for
the LCM of 6 and 15 .  THAT's how many days it will be before you get
homework in both subjects on the same day again.

(It's not 90 days, and it's not 60 days.)

50 POINTS! SHOW WORK OR ILL REPORT
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

The larger angle <K, has a measure of 120 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

So, a supplementary angle are two or more angles that combine to form a 180 degree straight line.  So here, we need to set up an algebra equation.

2x = the larger angle (because it's two times the smaller angle)

x = the smaller angle

So then, you need to set both equal to 180 degrees, since combine they equal 180 degrees

2x + x = 180

3x = 180

x = 60

Using basic algebra, we see that the smaller angle is 60 degrees, but wee need to find the larger angle.  Remember, we represented the larger angle as 2x.

2 time 60 is 120, so the larger angle is 120 degrees

Hope that helps :)
